Terms of Use

In force from 28 August 2026

These Terms are published in full in English and in French. Short plain-language summaries are also given in Pidgin, Arabic and Fulfulde so that everyone can understand the main points. Those summaries are for understanding only and have no legal effect. If the English and the French versions ever differ, the French version is the one that applies before a Cameroonian court.

1About this agreement

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and BAMBEH SARL. They cover the Bambeh website, the Bambeh app and everything we offer through them, which we call “Bambeh” or “the Services”.

By creating an account or by using Bambeh you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Bambeh.

3What Bambeh is, and what it is not

Bambeh is software. It lets people in Cameroon post items, jobs, services, vehicles and property, find each other and agree a deal.

  • Bambeh is not the seller. The seller is the person or the business that posted the listing. The sale is a contract between the buyer and the seller. Bambeh is not a party to it.
  • Bambeh is not a bank, a payment institution or an issuer of electronic money. Bambeh does not hold your money at any moment. Every payment is collected, held and paid out by a licensed payment service provider, in that provider's own account and under that provider's own authorisation.
  • Bambeh does not see, own, inspect or store the goods that appear on the platform.

4Who may use Bambeh

You must be 18 years old or more. One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

The information you give us must be true, and you must keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your password secret. Tell us immediately at support@bambeh.com if you think somebody else has got into your account.

Price of a Premium pass

PassPrice
One day100 XAF
One week500 XAF
One month1,500 XAF

A pass does not renew itself. There is no automatic subscription and no standing order. No money can ever leave your mobile money account unless you start a new payment yourself. When a pass finishes, the account simply returns to Free. Nothing you posted is deleted.

Prices may change in the future. A change never affects a pass you have already paid for.

6Refund of a pass

Ask for a refund within 7 calendar days, by email to support@bambeh.com, with the phone number used and the date.

We refund a pass when the paid features were not delivered to you. We do not refund a pass that worked correctly but was not used.

7What a sale costs

The seller sets the price and receives that price in full. The charges are added on top and are paid by the buyer, so the seller always knows exactly what will arrive.

Here is a real example of an item priced at 1,000 XAF, line by line:

LineAmount
Item price, set by the seller1,000 XAF
Bambeh commission (1%)10 XAF
Service and payment charge60 XAF
The buyer pays1,070 XAF
The seller receives1,000 XAF

The Bambeh commission is 1% of the item price. It does not rise with the size of the sale.

The service and payment charge is made of three things: a flat government tax of 4 XAF per transaction, VAT at 19.25% charged on our commission only, and the real cost of moving mobile money — once when the buyer pays in, and once again when the seller is paid out.

Every order shows these lines before you confirm, and again on the invoice afterwards.

8Buyer Protection

Buyer Protection is our safe way to pay a seller you have not met. It is included with Premium.

  • The buyer pays. The money is collected and held by our licensed payment partner, in the partner's own account and under the partner's own licence. BAMBEH SARL never holds it and never touches it.
  • The seller is told the money is secured, and sends or delivers the item.
  • When the buyer confirms they have received the item, Bambeh instructs the partner to release the money to the seller. If nobody raises a problem, release happens automatically at the end of the confirmation window shown on the order.
  • If something is wrong, the buyer opens a dispute and describes the problem. Both sides give their evidence. Bambeh reviews it and instructs the partner either to release the money or to return it.

A Bambeh decision on a dispute is an administrative decision about that payment only. It does not decide who is right in law, and it does not stop either party going to court.

9Zerm coins

Zerm coins are points inside the app that reward you for using Bambeh. They are not money.

  • They cannot be bought. Bambeh does not sell them.
  • They cannot be sold, transferred or given to another user.
  • They cannot be withdrawn, cashed out or exchanged for money.
  • They have no value outside Bambeh and no value when an account closes.
  • We may change how they are earned or spent, or end them, at any time.

This is deliberate. Zerm coins are a game inside the app, not a currency.

10Your listings and your content

Everything you post stays yours. By posting it you give Bambeh permission, free of charge and not exclusive, to show it, resize it and feature it inside Bambeh and in Bambeh's own advertising of the platform, for as long as it is posted and for a short period afterwards in backups.

When you post something you confirm that: you have the right to post it, you own the item or are entitled to sell it, the photos are of the actual item, and the description is honest.

11What is not allowed

  • Anything illegal in Cameroon; weapons and ammunition; drugs; medicines and other regulated products; counterfeit or stolen goods; ivory, pangolin scales and other protected wildlife; human beings or human parts.
  • Fake listings, an item you do not have, a price you do not intend to honour, or a listing posted in the wrong category to get more views.
  • Fraud of any kind, laundering money, or using Bambeh to move the proceeds of a crime.
  • Pretending to be another person or another business, or creating a new account to escape a suspension.
  • Harassment, threats, insults, hate speech, and sexual or adult content.
  • Putting phone numbers, WhatsApp links or other contact details inside listings, photos or chat where the app blocks them. This rule exists to protect both sides from being taken off the platform and cheated.
  • Collecting other users' data, copying the site automatically, scraping, or trying to break, overload or reverse engineer the Services.

12Disagreements between users

Bambeh is not a party to the sale, so a disagreement about goods is between the buyer and the seller. We give you the tools to make it safer: Buyer Protection, ratings, reviews, reporting and blocking.

Meet in a busy public place in daylight. Inspect the item before you pay. For anything expensive, use Buyer Protection.

13Advertising

Businesses can pay for placement on Bambeh. Paid placements are shown as such. Showing an advertisement is not an endorsement of that business, and any purchase you make from an advertiser is between you and them.

14Suspension and removal

We may remove a listing, or suspend or close an account, if these Terms are broken, if we see fraud or a risk to other users, or if the law requires it. Where we are allowed to, we will tell you the reason, and you may reply to support@bambeh.com and ask us to look again.

15Closing your account

You can close your account yourself at any time, from Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete My Account in the app, or from the form at bambeh.com/delete-account.html.

What is removed

Your profile and photo, your contact details, your listings, your saved searches, your favourites, your notifications and your device tokens. Your messages become “[deleted]”. Reviews you wrote keep the star rating, because other people depend on it, but they lose your name.

What we must keep, and why

Records of completed payments, and the invoices attached to them. Commercial and tax law in Cameroon, and the OHADA accounting rules, require a company to keep its accounting records for ten years. We also keep a minimal note that the account existed and was deleted, so that it cannot be recreated to escape a suspension, and anything a court or a regulator orders us to keep.

Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone. Zerm coins, any Premium pass still running, and any Buyer Protection case in progress all end with the account. Finish or cancel your open orders before you delete.

16Bambeh's own property

The Bambeh name, the logo, the design, the software, the database and the text of this site belong to BAMBEH SARL and are protected under Cameroonian law, the OAPI Bangui Agreement and international copyright. You may not copy, reproduce, decompile or reverse engineer them, and you may not use the Bambeh name or logo without our written permission.

17Availability and responsibility

Bambeh is provided as it is and as it is available. We work hard to keep it running and correct, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, never contain an error, or that a listing posted by another user is accurate.

So far as the law allows, BAMBEH SARL is not responsible for indirect loss, loss of profit or loss of opportunity, nor for the behaviour of another user. Nothing here removes a responsibility that the law does not allow us to remove. Where the law allows a limit, our total responsibility to you is limited to the fees you actually paid to Bambeh in the six months before the event.

18Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The new version is published on this page with a new date at the top. If a change matters to you, we will also show a notice in the app. Continuing to use Bambeh after a change means you accept the new version.

19Law and courts

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cameroon, including the OHADA Uniform Acts and Law No. 2010/012 of 21 December 2010 on cybersecurity and cybercriminality.

If there is a problem, please write to support@bambeh.com first — almost everything is settled that way. If it cannot be settled, the competent courts of Yaoundé have jurisdiction.
